What is a Cam?
Cam is short for “camera” or “camcorder”. Now a camera is a item/product that takes photos of a situation or what ever you wanted to take a photo of. On the other hand a camcorder is also a item/product but instead of taking photos that represent a single point in time, a camcorder and record an event for as long as you want or as long as its possible for the camcorder to record!
What is a Live Cam?
Now that you know what a camera and a camcorder is and can tell the difference, lets talk about Live Cam’s. Live Cam’s are basically camera’s or camcorders that are always on and other people can see you through your live cam. For, example if you were on a chat site like Omegle or Chat-roulette, you could give the website access to your camera, so that you can video chat with other people on there! It can actually be quite addicting, but at the same time it can be very dangerous. Now you may be thinking, why would it be dangerous to video chat with people? Well, since we live in a world with good and bad, there will always be those “bad” people to take advantage and hack into your webcam!
Is Live Cam hack Real?
Most people will argue with me and tell me that people can’t “hack” into someone elses camera. They only say that because they know 0% about hacking and how strong a hacker can really be, when with the correct knowledge. Remember you are only strong as you have trained yourself to be. People are not open minded and thus get caught in bad situations, which could have been avoided.
I have run into people who have gotten their cam’s hacked into by someone. Usually these people are girls, because whats more fun then hacking into a cute girl’s webcam right? But, that doesnt mean thats the only reason why they hack into peoples webcams. Some do it for fun and others do it with a motive. If you webcam is ever hacked, hopefully you will not be attacked by someone who is wanted revenge after you.
How to Avoid Getting Hacked?
Well, easiest way is not to give access to your webcam right? Then, you can also watch carefully what type of websites you visit and what options you use for different things. Hacking is a big area to cover and a huge amount of people do it. One thing that is heavily recommended is to never download suspicious items without know that the owner is a respected company/person and know that you are actually downloading something that is legit.
If you are only spending time webcam chatting, then you might eventually get hacked, but not many people do. Usually, around 1-10 people get hacked a day and that is not alot. Just be careful and watch who you show your webcam too!
